Gavin is the Principal Dentist and owner of Gavin Laidlaw Dental Solutions. Gavin has owned the Practice in Lymm for seven years now, and oversaw its recent expansion. Before this he owned another thriving practice in Warrington.Gavin is a member of the British Association of Cosmetic Dentists and is passionate about creating great smiles. Much of the dentistry he now performs is associated with implants and other major smile transformations. Gavin has been working with Richard Brookshaw for over 10 years to create and place the crowns and bridges that fit onto the implants that Richard places. Gavin has also completed a year long advanced Dental Restoration course with Tipton Training in order to ensure that the latest techniques and technology can be used in the restoration treatment of implant patients.
Gavin has also achieved great success converting very nervous patients into very confident patients – happy and relaxed about visiting the Practice. He has been a Dental phobia Certified dentist for many years. Gavin explains ‘It is very important to the whole team here that no treatment ever takes place without the patient being totally comfortable and aware of what is happening. Dip Imp Dent RCS Ed Richard graduated in 1996, then accepted an oral surgery position at Leicester Royal Infirmary. This was followed by 2 years as a Senior House Officer in the Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery department at Sheffield University where he was involved in oral surgery and implant dentistry.
Richard completed his Masters degree in Oral Surgery in 1999 at Sheffield University and at Chieti University in Italy.Richard is both nationally and internationally respected as a lecturer and mentor in Implant Dentistry and CT scan guided surgery. Richard is also an honorary teaching fellow for the Manchester University MSc in dental implantology.In the last three years, Richard has successfully placed over 1500 implants.

Badri Chari BDS, MFDS RCS Edin 2010, MDS (Ortho), MOrth RCS Edin 2009, PhD Univ Manc 2009.Badri qualified with Bachelor of Dental Surgery in 2001 from Annamalai University, Tamilnadu in India and moved to the UK in 2006. He was awarded a PhD by the University of Manchester in 2009 and, in the same year, gained his Membership in Orthodontics from the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh. Badri is involved with teaching Orthodontics at the University of Manchester. He is actively involved in orthodontic research and has many publications in prestigious orthodontic journals. Badri’s excellence has been recognized by the award of the prestigious Rising Star award in 2010 and the Chapman prize in 2011 by the British Orthodontic Society. He is an active member of the British Orthodontic Society and has been an invited speaker twice at their annual conference. He is also a member of the British Lingual Orthodontic Society and a fellow of the World Federation of Orthodontics. He is a registered Specialist in Orthodontics with the General Dental Council. In 2015, Badri was given the acclaimed David Turpin award for his research work in the field of Orthodontics. Awarded by the prestigious American Journal of Orthodontics who also published his work, Badri’s research looked at the best ways to strengthen and correct the alignment of patient’s teeth. The David L. Turpin Award for Evidence Based Research is an annual award which is given to the highest rated clinical trial or review published in the American Journal of Orthodontics during the previous year.

Richard Tones BDS Newcastle 2003
Associate Dentist Richard qualified as a dentist from the University of Newcastle-Upon-Tyne in 2003. He achieved a Distinction in Restorative Technique and won the Sopworth prize for Restorative Technique during his training. Richard has worked in a variety of NHS and Private dental practices in Newcastle and Cheshire since qualifying to gain a wide range of experience in dentistry.He continues to pursue post graduate training in dentistry to offer the highest possible professional standards to his patients. Richard has completed the GIFT Implant training course and is currently completing a Diploma in Implantology from the University of Warwick. He has also completed the Michael Wise* one year Restorative Course on Wimpole Street London in 2007 and now continues to attend the quarterly study clubs in London, designed to keep up to date with new techniques and evidence based dentistry.
He is also trained in a number of different orthodontic techniques. An Invisalign provider since 2004, he has also trained in Lingual braces, Six month Smiles, Fast Braces, Simply 5,and many other techniques to straighten the teeth.
Richard has also completed advanced training in the use of Dermal Fillers.
In his leisure time Richard is a keen skier and an avid motor sports fan.

GDC Registration Number : 209774 Further to a degree in Physiology, Lauren transferred to study dentistry before qualifying in 2011 from Liverpool University. Since qualifying, Lauren has rapidly developed her dentistry experience by working at a number of NHS practices on the Wirral and in Cheshire. Additionally, she continues to increase her professional development post graduation by attending courses on dental health, short term Orthodontics and Endodontics. Lauren also has also volunteered in Kampala, Uganda to deliver oral hygiene presentations to children in local schools and orphanages. Outside the practice, Lauren enjoys keeping fit. She ran the Edinburgh Marathon in 2015 but now prefers to focus on weight training and yoga. She has a season ticket at West Bromwich Albion football club so go there every other week to watch her team play. Lauren also loves travelling, in particular city breaks such as Paris, Rome, Berlin and further afield to Hong Kong.
