Genesis Dental Care – Matlock

Clare joined the Genesis team in 2011 bringing 16 years of extensive experience and expertise in treating he patients periodontal health. Clare is a passionate oral health educator, likes to attend courses to extend her clinical duties and is currently completing a diploma in Health and Social Care. Out of work Clare enjoys visiting the North Yorkshire Moors for adventures with her family.

Mr Akbar received his BDS (Bachelors in Dental Surgery) in 2004. Since then he has gained valuable experience in private dentistry, focusing mainly on smile makeovers. His special interest lies in cosmetic dentistry, and advanced prosthodontics including full oral rehabilitations. He is towards the end of his MclinDent (Masters in Clinical Dentistry) “Fixed and removable prosthodontics”, from the prestigious Kings College London.

Catarina qualified in Portugal in 2007 and started to work in private practicesand in the Endodontic department of her University ISCSEM Egas Moniz, Lisbon supervising undergraduate students. She also worked as a volunteer in a non-governmental organisation (Abraco) that helps imuno-compromised patients providing free dental treatments. In 2010 Catarina moved to the UK and joined Matlock Dental Practice. Catarina has a Post-Graduation in Orthodontics completed in June 2012 and she is hoping to practice Orthodontics in the near future. Catarina enjoys to travelling and interacting with different cultures. She also enjoys horse riding, yoga and pilates.
