Brixham Dental Practice understands how important it is to listen to our patients and to discuss their requirements and expectations. In order to achieve these expectations we will explain all the options available to obtain the best results.
We will give you a clear written estimate of any planned treatment. If there are any changes to your plan we will explain them in advance.
Many patients are anxious and nervous when it comes to visiting the dentist. At this practice both the dentists and the team are very understanding and are excellent at helping any nervous patient to overcome their anxieties. We hope that anyone attending this practice will do so with the minimum of stress.
Practice Information
Emergencies
We offer a same day emergency service for all patients. This service is also available for patients who are not registered with this practice. When the practice is closed we also offer an emergency number for our regular patients.
Location
A clear map is provided giving directions to the surgery. For further help or any other details you require please phone and we will be very happy to help you.
Keeping your appointment
We understand that it is not always possible to keep appointments but we would ask you to give us as much notice as possible when cancelling. We generally ask for a least 24 hours notice should you need to cancel.
Car parking
We have our own private car park at the rear of the practice.

- Dr Paul Richardson
GDC Number: 55658 Paul Richardson qualified at the Edinburgh Dental School, Faculty of Medicine at Edinburgh University in 1981 and has since been the principle practitioner at the Brixham Dental Practice. Throughout his career he has regularly attended higher post-graduate courses. This has given him the opportunity to further his interests in advanced restorative and cosmetic dentistry. In turn this has helped to ensure that his patients receive the very best that today's modern dentistry can offer. Paul Richardson has a wide range of experience when dealing with difficult and complex dental treatments. He has designed and created hundreds of beautiful smiles for patients, in addition to undertaking general dentistry. In his spare time Paul enjoys hill walking and horse riding. He has three daughters, the eldest Kate has just qualified as a dentist.
- Dr Anne Green
BDS. Univ. Bristol GDC: 209569 Anne qualified from the University of Bristol in 2011. Since this time she has worked both in general practice and as a Senior House Officer in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery at Torbay hospital. She joined Brixham Dental Practice in March 2014. She also works part time in the Dept of Restorative Dentistry at Torbay Hospital, assisting in the dental rehabilitation of patients following reconstructive surgery for cancer, trauma or cleft lip and palate as well as other select cases. Her interests are in the dental care of anxious patients, as well as developing techniques in restorative, cosmetic and prosthetic dentistry. She is keen on improving her skills, and has recently gained a qualification enabling her to become a Member of the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh. She is keen on putting her dental skills to good use elsewhere and has recently worked as a locum in a dental clinic in Tanzania, working for a charity which trains local healthcare workers to carry out vital dental procedures. She has plans to undertake more volunteering trips abroad when possible.
- Mrs Clare Edwards
DipDH, R.D.H.M GDC Number: 6088 Clare Qualified at the Birmingham University Hospital in 2002. She joined our practice in 2009 and has become a valuable member of the practice. Clare is a very important member of our practice as she plays a fundamental role in helping ensure that you have healthy teeth and gums. As well as gently removing hard deposits and stains that may have built up on your teeth, she helps you to keep plaque & tartar to a minimum. Clare is very passionate about helping people get into a routine that best suits you to maintain a good oral health. As well as weekday appointments, Clare will also see patients on Saturdays mornings.
