Specialist in ProsthodonticsGraham qualified from the Royal London Hospital in 1986 and practiced in hospital Oral Surgery for 2 years before moving into General Dental Practice.Graham then continued his postgraduate education in fixed and removable prosthodontics. He passed Fellowship of the Royal College of Surgeons of England and then undertook a two year Masters degree in Conservation, which he passed with distinction from Guys Hospital.whilst at guys, he developed a special interest in the intricacies of occlusion, implant placement and complex restorative treatment.In 2000 Graham gained his Membership in Restorative Dentistry (MRD) and was admitted onto the Specialist list in Prosthodontics.He has had a referral practice for crown and bridgework and implants since 1996.Prosthodontic ReferralsIt is always extremely difficult to provide estimates over the telephone. A simple letter of referral from colleagues is requested highlighting the nature of the problems and any relevant medical or psychological history.

Philip McCauley graduated from Queens University Belfast Dental School in 1999. After a year in general practice Philip then worked for a year as a Senior House Officer in the Oral Surgery department at Poole General Hospital gaining valuable experience in dentoalveolar surgery as well as passing the MFDS examination in May 2001.Philip completed the osseointegrated year course at the Walpole Street Practice in June 2002 and has been placing and restoring implants in general practice since November 2002. In January of 2005 Philip took up a part time post at the Walpole Street Practice working closely with Dr Eddie Scher who runs a well renowned implant referral practice in Chelsea, West London. In July 2005 Philip was awarded a Fellowship of the International Congress of Oral Implantologists. Philip also lectures on the use of implants for restoration of missing teeth to other dentists.

David qualified from Cardiff in 2000 and joined the Royal Army Dental Corp where he achieved the rank of Major. He served in Germany, Brunei, Bosnia and all over the UK. Davids interest in surgery developed whilst being a Senior House Officer at the Royal Surrey County Hospital. He left the Army in 2006 and has since been based in private practice. David has quickly increased his implant exposure by working in Ilkley, London and Cornwall in Implant referral practices. David is currently completing his MClinDent with Kings College London in Fixed and Removable Prosthodontics. He holds an Honorary Research contract at the Eastman Dental Institute and is currently awaiting several papers for publication. David has recently completed a month fellowship at the University of Berne, Switzerland, working alongside world-renowned implant surgeons.He has lectured both nationally and internationally on both the surgical and restorative aspects of implant dentistry. He has lectured at The Royal College of Surgeons and is involved in the teaching and examination of the IQE and MJDF examinations. David is a founder member of The Byrnes Implant Study Group. Specialist in Restorative Dentistry, Prosthodontics, Periodontics and Endodontics, Consultant and Restorative Dentistry and Oral RehabilitationGDC registration 67026Simon qualified in Birmingham in 1991 and spent 3 years at Senior House Officer level and working part-time in general practice which continued through his postgraduate hospital training. In 1995 he commenced a 3-year position in the Department of Restorative Dentistry at Manchester Dental Hospital where he completed the Fellowship in Dental Surgery at the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh and an MSc in Restorative Dentistry.In 1998 he commenced a 5-year specialist-training pathway in Restorative Dentistry at Sheffield Dental Hospital and the Glenfield Hospital in Leicester. During this time he was awarded the Travel Fellowship by the British Society for the Study of Prosthetic Dentistry and visited the Oslo Cleft Team in Norway and the Branëmark Implant Clinic in Sweden. He also spent time with the Maxillofacial Prosthetist at the Morriston Hospital in Swansea and in conjunction with Leicester General Hospital became involved with the treatment of patients with Sleep Breathing Disorders. At the end of this pathway, in 2003, he completed the Specialist Fellowship in Restorative Dentistry at the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh and was accredited as an NHS Consultant and entered on the Specialist Lists in Prosthodontics, Endodontics, Periodontics and Restorative Dentistry.He was the Consultant in Restorative Dentistry at Torbay Hospital from June 2003 until December 2009 when he was appointed as the Consultant in Restorative Dentistry and Oral Rehabilitation at Poole Hospital to set up and run the restorative dentistry service for patients affected by head and neck cancer who are treated with surgery, radiotherapy and chemotherapy.He established The Specialist Restorative & Implant Dentistry Clinic referral service in Poundbury, Dorchester in 2004 and is delighted to be moving this service to purpose built South Coast Dental Specialist centre at Avenue House,South Walks Road Dorchester in April 2013. His philosophy is to offer an honest appraisal and advice to patients where there is uncertainty on how best to progress and provide specialist treatment when required and maintain close collaboration with the patient’s own Dentist for longterm care and maintenance.

John qualified from Kings College London in 1990, where he was awarded the Claudius Ash prize in Conservation and the Jose Souyave Endodontic prize. He continued his postgraduate education at Guy’s Hospital London where he achieved a Distinction in the Endodontic MSc. He completed his Specialist training at The Royal College of Surgeons Edinburgh with MRD in Endodontics. John was awarded Fellowship in Dental Surgery from the Royal College of Edinburgh 2013. John is registered on the GDC Specialist list in Endodontics and now runs a busy Endodontic referral practice in Poole, Dorset.John lectures throughout the UK and contributes widely to postgraduate Endodontic teaching. He has published research papers in several refereed journals and numerous articles for dental press. He is co-author of the Endodontic textbook Endodontics: Problem Solving in Clinical Practice, Author of Advanced Endodontics: Re-treatment and Surgery and contributing Author in Harty’s Endodontics in Clinical Practice.John is a referee for the International Endodontic Journal and ENDO (Endodontic Practice Today).

Specialist PeriodontistGDC registration 202292Fernando graduated from the University of Granada, Spain in 2007. As part of his undergraduate training, he spent one year at the University of Oslo, Norway. During his undergraduate years, he grew a special interest in Periodontics and Implant dentistry, which he further developed in private practice in Gran Canaria, Spain. He then undertook a 3-year full-time MClinDent degree in Periodontology at the Eastman Dental Institute in London. He has carried out research in the field of bone regeneration and presented his clinical work internationally. His main interests include treatment of gum disease, regenerative procedures, dental implants and periodontal plastic surgery.

Sonia qualified from King’s College London in 2007 and has worked in general practice and hospitals. During this time, she has obtained her Membership of the Faculty of Dental Surgery with the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh. In 2010, Sonia returned to King’s College London to begin a part-time specialist training programme in Fixed and Removable Prosthodontics.Sonia is passionate about providing high quality and comfortable dentistry without compromising on the aesthetic outcome. Her particular interests lie in creating natural looking, beautiful smiles and in replacing missing teeth with implants, bridges and where appropriate dentures. She also enjoys the challenge of restoring mouths which have had more complicated problems such as tooth wear or failing dental work.Sonia was invited to present her Masters’ research at the International Association of Dental Research General Session in Seattle, Washington, USA in spring 2013 and is hoping to publish her work later this year. She is a member of the Programme Planning Committee for the British Dental Association Conferences 2014-16 and occasionally teaches at the Royal College of Surgeons of England.When away from her dental instruments, Sonia enjoys travelling the world (every new place visited is her favourite place ever), spending time with friends and family, listening to live music and managing her allotment plot.
