Born in Newcastle, and having lived most of my life there and in Northumberland, I qualified as a Dental Hygienist at Newcastle in 1977 and have worked full time ever since in both NHS and Private Practices. I married Fil in 1981 and we are about to celebrate our "Vinyl Anniversary" on 22nd December 2014 - that's 33 1/3 years! When not engrossed in my work I love to sail especially in warmer climes and in fact hope to live aboard a yacht for a few years when I eventually retire. I am resigned to the fact that my football team will never win a trophy but that doesn't stop me supporting them. And I love knitting and doing embroidery but hate cooking.Since moving to Essex in 1998 I have worked with Charl, Grainne, Tracey and Wendy in Shenfield so we have a lot of history. Wendy and I work well together as we offer our patients a choice of different styles and approaches to dental health. I enjoy the long term interaction with our patients working towards higher standards of oral hygiene. And for the record - electric toothbrushes are better than manual!
