For us, dentistry means so much more than just your clinical needs. First and foremost, it is about the trust that should exist between you and your dentist.
At Highfield, we genuinely care about how you feel when it comes to visiting us, not just physically, but emotionally and financially too. We work hard to make sure our patients always feel safe, comfortable and relaxed during every interaction; from the moment they pick up the phone to book an appointment, to when they step through the door or sit back in the dentist’s chair. What you feel matters to you, so it matters to us.
We have found that by being honest and open, by seeing every patient as a human being, and by taking their feelings seriously, real relationships begin to form between patients and their treatment team. This is where trust begins, and we are committed to never breaking that once you have chosen to put your trust in us.
We value the individual relationship we have with each and every patient. This means always giving you plenty of time at each appointment, so you never feel rushed, and we can be sure you feel completely satisfied and supported at the end of every visit.

Staff
- Dr Slawomir StobieckiPrincipal Dentist
My full name is Slawomir, but I am known as “Slavek” to friends and patients. I graduated in Katowice, Poland in 2000 and have been living in England since 2005, always along the gorgeous Hampshire coastline.
Ever since I was 12 years old, I knew I wanted to be a dentist, and I still have a real passion for dentistry. I am a member of the British Dental Association, British Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry and International Team for Implantology.
Over the years I have developed a keen interest in cosmetic dentistry and minimally invasive dentistry. With a focus on prevention, I believe I have a gentle, caring approach to the dental health of my patients. I also ensure the practice always uses the latest techniques and the highest quality materials in order to deliver the best possible treatment outcomes.
I am passionate about working closely with patients to give them the smile they have always wished for, and I love seeing the positive impact this has on their life and wellbeing. Working alongside my great team, we have perfected our patient journey to ensure we provide the best possible treatment to every patient that walks through our door.
- Dr Daniel MichaelDentist
I graduated from Guy’s Dental Hospital in 1997 with degrees in both Dentistry and Anatomy.
I have worked exclusively in private practice for the last 12 years, having completed postgraduate courses in Advanced Restorative Dentistry at the prestigious Eastman Dental Institute.
I’m a huge advocate of the latest techniques in Minimally Invasive Dentistry, Biomimetics and the use of microscopy in Dentistry. I combine the art of dentistry with a strong scientific evidence-base to provide an advanced approach to dentistry. I accepts referrals for Microscopic Endodontics, tooth wear and TMJ (jaw joint / grinding) disorders.
I have also received accreditation under the Denplan Excel Quality Assurance Programme.
- Annette ThrelfallHygienist
I originally qualified as a Dental Hygienist in 1991, after which I relocated to Hampshire in 1996. My job involves providing information and practical advice to patients about how they can achieve and maintain excellent dental health, and I really believe it is essential to look after the whole mouth, not just the teeth.
When you have an appointment with me, I will tailor each visit around you. We will discuss your dental habits, general health and other routines so I can give you detailed, specific advice and guidance that will help you see real results. My patients can be confident that when they come to a hygienist appointment they will receive treatment using the latest products and based on the most up to date industry research.
When I am at home I am a keen gardener, and I also enjoy drawing, sewing and spending time with my husband and two daughters.
- Corinne WilliamsDental Hygiene Therapist
I have 15 years of experience working in the dental field in various roles, including a Dental Nurse Lecturer at Eastleigh College. I gained my qualification as a Dental Hygiene Therapist from Portsmouth University.
I believe I have a calm and very caring approach, which helps to put my patients at ease during treatments. As a Hygiene Therapist my skills are not limited to hygiene appointments only. I’m also able to carry out all dental treatment for children, most restorations in adults and emergency treatments such as re-cementing temporary crowns and placing provisional dressings, taking impressions, whitening treatment and taking x-rays as required.
My young son keeps me busy when not at work and in any spare time I enjoy sewing, reading and dancing.
- Jackie CrutchfieldDental Nurse
I am born and bred in Southampton and have three grown up children.
I have worked as a dental nurse for 26 years having qualified at the age of 20 starting in the NHS, then moving into the private sector. I have worked in special care and emergency dentistry and recently finished working for the MOD at a local army base.
I am also a qualified dental radiographer.
In my spare time, I enjoy archaeology, forensic archaeology and maritime archaeology. I also enjoy walking my Labrador dog, I love cake and the occasional Guinness.
I am currently training as a royal artillery army reservist.
- Sinikka BioseBusiness Manager
I am originally from Finland, but I have lived in the UK for a number of years, including studying Spanish at the University of Aberdeen and working on the beautiful Isle of Man. However, Southampton has been my home since 2006.
Though dentistry is new to me, I am learning quickly about many fascinating possibilities modern dentistry offers to patients. My background before joining the clinic is in people and team management in different service environments mainly within the financial industry.
I am passionate about providing the best possible service to all patients and therefore my role is to ensure the customer experience outside the dental surgeries is as high quality as the dental treatments we provide. I appreciate all feedback and I am happy to have a chat at any time – it is always great to hear where we are doing well and to learn where we can improve.
I very much like football and lots of my spare time is spent by football pitches watching my sons training and playing. I also enjoy gardening, travelling and reading.
- Anita SummerfieldPractice Host
I trained as a dental nurse at the age of 17 and remained in the industry until I started my family. I then moved into the care profession caring for patients with Alzheimer’s and dementia.
I changed direction somewhat over the past decade and was offered the opportunity to work on the non-clinical side of healthcare and worked as a medical secretary, in the private sector, for various consultant surgeons, which I thoroughly enjoyed.
I am now using my key skills providing excellent customer care and administration back in the dental industry.
In my spare time I love spending the time with family and trying to play golf!
- Fiona PatelFacial Aesthetician
I qualified as an RGN in 1990 in London. I have mainly worked in surgical roles, namely ENT, Maxillo-facial, and Head and Neck. My last role in the NHS was as a Clinical Nurse Specialist in Head and Neck Cancer at Mount Vernon Hospital. The transition to facial aesthetics was made easier as my previous roles ensured a sound knowledge of the anatomy of the face.
I have been involved in facial aesthetics for nearly eight years and I really enjoy the positive nature and the artistry of the specialty. Listening to the patient and planning their treatment with them is an important part of aesthetics. I firmly believe honesty and transparency play a huge role in ensuring a satisfactory outcome.
My spare time is spent with my family and our two dogs. I also enjoy yoga and cooking.
