The in-house operating facility provides a dedicated venue for full range of oral and maxillofacial day surgery.
The surgical procedures are typically undertaken with local anaesthesia and sedation provided by one of our consultant anaesthetists. Mr Shakib heads an experienced team who specialise in painless, minimal access surgery with enhanced recovery.
The most commonly performed procedures at the clinic include:
1. Removal of impacted wisdom teeth
2. Dental implant surgery including bone grafting and jaw reconstruction
3. Skin cancer surgery
4. Biopsy of skin and oral conditions
For more complex procedures requiring general anaesthesia or overnight stay, Mr Shakib has admitting rights at the Wellington Hospital and Hospital of St John and Elizabeth.

A highly experienced Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeon. He covers all aspects of diseases affecting the mouth, jaws, face and neck. The most common procedures performed by him include removal of impacted wisdom teeth, skin cancer surgery, facial and jaw deformity, salivary gland surgery, facial trauma and facial reconstruction including micro-vascular free flaps. Mr Shakib has treated more than 1000 patients with dental implants, often requiring bone augmentation. He is on the specialist register with General Medical Council (GMC) and the General Dental Council (GDC) as an Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeon. - Dr Sarah NealeDentist
Graduated as a dental surgeon in 1990 from King’s College Hospital, University of London. She then gained two years experience in general dental practice before going back into the hospital setting in preparation for specialist training. Sarah progressed through several appointments in oral and maxillofacial surgery and children’s dentistry, obtaining the Fellowship in Dental Surgery from the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh in 1995. She then commenced 4 years of academic and clinical training at the Eastman Dental Institute. After the first year she was awarded a Master of Science with distinction in Dental Public Health and a Diploma in Dental Public Health from the Royal College of Surgeons of England. This was followed by a three year appointment as a Specialist Registrar in Orthodontics. A second Master of Science was awarded for her research into facial muscle molecular biology in 2000.
