Patrick qualified in 1986 from Guy’s Hospital having been awarded the Newland Pedley Medal and Prize in Operative Dentistry and the British Society of Restorative Dentistry Prize (the top clinical prizes awarded to Guy’s graduates and UK graduates respectively). Following graduation Patrick undertook three years of Resident Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery training working in some of Britain’s busiest A&E departments and surgery clinics. He then joined Stephen Rear at Blandy House in 1989 as joint founder of the dental practice. In 1990 Patrick became one of the first UK dentists to receive Dental Implant training at the prestigious Branemark Clinic in Gothenburg, Sweden under the tutelage of Professor P.I. Branemark, the father of modern day dental implantology. He has since furthered his training in Advanced Implant Surgery and Prosthetics as well as in Restorative Dentistry in the UK and Europe. To date, Patrick has treated thousands of cases and offers over 22 years of experience in Implant, Aesthetic and Restorative Dentistry. In 1998, Patrick gained a Membership in General Dental Surgery (MGDS RCS) the highest attainable general dental surgery postgraduate diploma awarded by practical and written examination at the Royal College of Surgeons of England. He remains still one of a few UK dentists who hold this diploma. Patrick is a member of the British Academy of Aesthetic Dentistry , the Association of Dental Implantology , the British Society of General Dental Surgery and the British Society of Restorative Dentistry.

B.D.Sc. Hons (Qld.) MFGDP(UK) Dip. Imp. Dent. UCL Eastman (Lond.) Dental Surgeon Josephine M Cockings Josephine qualified at The University of Queensland, Australia, having been awarded First Class Honours and the high distinction of The University Gold Medal. She received fourteen awards and prizes which included the Carlisle C. Bastian Prize for Restorative Dentistry, the George Christensen Memorial Prize for Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery, and the James Egerton Cary Prize for outstanding academic achievement. She has attained the Diploma of Implant Dentistry at the Eastman Dental Institute, University College London, graduating with Distinction and being awarded the Nobel Biocare Prize for achieving top of her year. She has also been awarded Membership of the Faculty of General Dental Practitioners in the United Kingdom. Josephine brings with her years of care, experience and expertise in private dental practice. She provides special care and empathy to anxious patients of all ages. Josephine continues to follow her philosophy of technical excellence and exceptional care in dentistry, with a special interest in preventive, implant, restorative and aesthetic dentistry.

B.D.S.(Birm.), M.F.D.S, R.C.S.(Eng) Sameer Patel Sameer qualified from Birmingham University having been awarded the Centenary Prize and nominated for the Clinical Excellence Award. He continued his post graduation at Oxford University whilst working in practice, before moving to Guy's Hospital, London. After his training, Sameer was awarded, by examination, Membership of the Faculty of Dental Surgery at the Royal College of Surgeons in London. He was then fortunate enough to work in Sydney, Australia, both in practice and in Hospital, before returning to the UK to become a partner @ blandyhouse. He has also completed training in Implantology at the Eastman Hospital and is a member of the ITI, International Team for Implantology and enjoys comprehensive dentistry for all ages. Sameer believes in providing high quality dental care utilising state of the art technology. Sameer is an active commitee member of the British Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry (BACD) allowing him to give you the perfect smile. He is also a certified Invisalign practitioner, providing invisible orthodontics for teenagers and adults, and also enabling a more conservative smile makeover. Sameer was the recent Chairman of the Reading Section of the British Dental Association and the current official dentist for the PCA, Professional Cricketers Association including Team England and PJA, Professional Jockeys' Association.

(Eng), MSc (Lon), M Orth (Eng), FDS Orth RCS Norman Hay Norman is a Consultant Orthodontist & Specialist in Orthodontics and joins our team to compliment years of care, experience and expertise in dentistry. He is able to offer a caring, individual and comprehensive approach to orthodontic treatment for adults and children based on a wealth of experience and expertise. Norman is a Consultant Orthodontist at Great Ormond Street Hospital for Children, The Royal London Hospital and the Princess Alexandra NHS Trust and has been the recipient of two prestigious Orthodontic prizes for his clinical work.
