Kripa Sharmilla Radia BDS Lond 1995 DGDP 1998

Sharmilla qualified from Guy’s Dental School, London University in 1995 with a distinction in Oral Pathology, Oral Surgery and Oral Medicine. She is the practice principal. Sharmilla is a member of the Faculty of General Dental Practitioners UK and has been awarded the Diploma in General Dental Practice. She has also achieved the Postgraduate Certificate in Medical and Dental Education with Oxford Brookes University and is a foundation dentist trainer providing guidance and support to young dentists. Sharmilla has a special interest in dental implants and is a member of the Association of Dental Implantologists UK. Sharmilla is working towards the Royal College of Surgeons Diploma in Implantology. She is passionate about her work. Sharmilla is highly experienced in the replacement of missing teeth, the restoration of natural looking teeth and in both complicated and simple restorations. Sharmilla believes that developing a good rapport with each patient helps her provide treatment to the highest standards in an enjoyable and relaxed atmosphere.

Nikolaos Antonopoulos DDS (Rom) 2001

Nikos graduated in 2001 from the University of Timisoara, Romania and lived and worked in Athens, Greece until 2006, when he relocated to the U.K. He has been a member of the Croft Dental Centre family since 2009.

Always happy to listen and eager to help, Nikos will greet you with a smile and do everything he can to help you re-discover yours. Cosmetic Dentistry and Smile Design is a big part of his clinical life and his continuing professional development efforts emphatically reflect this.

Rodica Pirtea DDS (Rom) 2001

Rodica graduated in 2001 from the University of Timisoara, Romania and lived and worked in Orsova, Romania as well as Athens, Greece until 2006, when she relocated to the U.K. She has been a member of the Croft Dental Centre family since 2009. Always kind and gentle, Rodica greatly enjoys helping nervous patients gain back their confidence. Cosmetic dentistry is the field she thrives in, having completed numerous smile makeover cases, so please feel free to ask her what she can do for your smile! Rodica is a certified “Invisalign" provider - The clear alternative to braces!

Reena Irvinn BDS Lond 2005. 
GDC membership number: 85853

Reena qualified in 2005 from Guy’s Kings and St Thomas’s Dental School, London and received a letter of excellence in restorative dentistry. Reena is working towards the Postgraduate certificate in Medical and Dental Education with Oxford Brookes University. 

Reena ‘s friendly, approachable and professional nature go hand in hand with her extensive healthcare experience, making her an invaluable member of the team. 

As well as having extensive experience in general dentistry Reena is trained and experienced in providing Fastbraces®. With safety in mind, Fastbraces® Technology was developed to straighten teeth differently – allowing for a fast, safe and affordable solution. Mr Philip Hawkins BDS Lond 2010
GDC membership number: 193933

Philip qualified in 2010 from the University of Sheffield and worked for 3 years in Yorkshire before moving to us. Phil is currently working towards his post graduate MClinDent in restorative dentistry and is a member of the British Academy of Restorative Dentistry. Phil’s composed and friendly manner contributes to his success in treating patients. He is an enthusiastic integral member of our team. 

In his spare time he is an avid Sunderland supporter and enjoys playing guitar and piano but has yet to treat us all to a performance. Phil’s favourite part of his job is helping patients overcome their fear of dental treatment.

Jackie Howell CEB Dip Dental Hygiene 1995. 
GDC membership number 3989

Jackie qualified in 1990 from the Royal Army Dental Corps in Aldershot and joined the practice in September 2014. Having done some locum temporary work for us before this we were so impressed that we just had to keep her! Jackie is good at and enjoys putting anxious patients at ease with her friendly and relaxed manner. Outside of family commitments, Jackie enjoys country walks, cycling and yoga.

NICKY PRATT, RDH Nicky trained as a Dental Hygienist in the Royal Air Force and was awarded her Diploma in Dental Hygiene by the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh in addition to her Certificate in Diet and Nutrition and Oral Health Promotion. Post qualification Nicky worked as a Dental Hygienist in several locations throughout the UK in a clinical environment before being selected for the post of Dental Hygienist Instructor at the Military School of Dental Hygiene in Aldershot. Nicky has worked in private practice since leaving the Royal Air Force in 2006.

Nicky is very gentle and has a caring nature towards her patients. Throughout her career she has built up significant experience and remains passionate about providing the best oral health care. Nicky continues to regularly attend courses and is currently studying for a degree in Oral Health Promotion.

Away from work, Nicky enjoys time with her family, keeping fit and charity work, a highlight of which was raising over £2000 for cancer research by climbing Mount Everest base camp in 2012.
