Since graduating from the University of Newcastle in 2001 Andy Stafford has pursued a career in private restorative/cosmetic dentistry.He first entered the cosmetic dentistry market by managing a chain of successful tooth whitening clinics across the North of England. He has used virtually all tooth whitening systems on the market today, and has a portfolio of over 500 completed whitening procedures to date.Dr. Stafford is committed to constantly updating his dental skills and in 2014 gained a Masters degree (with distinction) in Restorative and Aesthetic Dentistry from the University of Manchester. His dissertation looked into the success of CAD/CAM materials produced using the CEREC system.

Dr Stafford has been using the revolutionary CEREC dental system in his practice for the past 7 years. He has studied with celebrity 10 years younger dentist Steve Sharma at the Q clinic in Harley Street London. Here he refined his technique such can now offer an extensive array of same-day restorative options and make-overs including inlays, onlays, crowns, and veneers.Since 2002 Dr Stafford has been an active and participating member of the worlds premier institute of cosmetic dentistry, The American Academy Of Cosmetic Dentistry (AACD). He has travelled extensively in the US. attending and completing week long scientific conferences in Vancouver, San Diego, and most recently New Orleans. He has attended over 40 lectures and hands-on sessions from the most prominent dentists in cosmetic dentistry from around the world today. This intensive education has led to a thorough understanding and appreciation of smile design and aesthetics.In 2006 Andy Stafford completed a foundation module in Dental Implantology from the University of Sheffield. He then went on to complete a year long certification course in Dental Implantology at Dr. Paul Tiptons St. Annes dental clinic in Manchester. He offers a full range of implant solutions from 1 tooth to full mouth rehabilitations using several implants and fixed bridgework. Many solutions are offered using the teeth-in-an-hour concept where patients can have a fixed aesthetic solution on the same day implants are placed. More recently he studied at the Malo Clinic in Lisbon, Portugal completing The "Advanced NobelGuide TM" & "All-on-4 TM" program. Dr Stafford has placed over 300 dental implants to date with excellent rates of success.Dr Stafford can offer a range of orthodontic treatments. He has trained in several methods such as Invislign, Clearstep, and Inman Aligner so the most appropriate method for each patient can be selected. He is currently a Platinum Elite Invisalign doctor, the highest grade achievable and is the first approved Invisalign Teen provider in the North-East. He is also currently listed on the Invisalign Expert Panel found on the Invisalign Guide

Dr Darren Cannell graduated from Newcastle University Dental School in 2001. Upon graduation, he was awarded the prestigious "James Coltman Award", an individual honour awarded for overall skill in Operative Dentistry.Dr Cannell then returned to his native district Liverpool to continue with his development and continued learning. As a result, he successfully managed to develop his career and become an established Restorative/ Cosmetic Dentist, working out of two very successful practices across the North West. Dr Cannell is a participating General Member of The American Academy Of Cosmetic Dentistry (AACD). The AACD is regarded as the worlds premier organisation for cosmetic dental professionals and is dedicated to advancing the art and science of cosmetic dentistry. He is also a Gold Member of the International Academy of Advanced Facial Aesthetics (IAAFA) and a member of The British Dental Association (BDA).In 2008 Dr Cannell completed a foundation module in Dental Implantology from the University of Sheffield. Following on from this he elected to commute to Sheffield to complete the 18 Month Implant training programme (One to One) at the Charles Clifford Dental Hospital, regarded by many as the premier implant training course in the UK. Since then Dr Cannell has completed further Implant Training in both the UK and Europe. Dr Cannell has travelled extensively to refine his skills is smile design, smile reconstruction, smile rehabilitation and aesthetics. He has attended numerous courses across America and Europe in order to attend lectures, seminars and hands on workshops led by some of the worlds most prolific Dentists. (Rosenthal, Smallwood and Fahl to name just a few). Most recently, In November 2010 Dr Cannell completed The "Advanced NobelGuide TM" & "All-on-4 TM" Course held in Lisbon, Portugal, at the prestigious Malo Clinic led by World famous Professor Paulo Malo. Dr Cannell also offers a range of orthodontic treatments including the Invisalign and Clearstep clear brace systems. Dr Cannell first qualified as an Invisalign Doctor in 2006. Having completed numerous Invisalign courses since, in 2009, Dr Cannell went on to become the FIRST PLATINUM ELITE Invisalign provider in the North of England. He is also currently listed on the Invisalign Expert Panel found on the Invisalign Guide. Dr Cannells concentrated training and expertise in conjunction with his enthusiasm for creating the Perfect Smile, has enabled him to create an extensive portfolio of smile makeovers. These makeovers often incorporate and combine his CEREC, IMPLANT and INVISALIGN procedures to produce the ultimate result.

Neal obtained his degree from University of Newcastle Upon Tyne and has worked in both hospital and general dental practice since then. He studied to become a Member of the Faculty of Dental Surgeons of the Royal College of Surgeons in 2008. He is a member of the International team for Implantology and has undertaken further training to develop a broad range of postgraduate dental skills.He offers a wide range of advanced restorative procedures including CADCAM-digital dentistry and increasingly popular implant treatments. Neal really enjoys offering aesthetically orientated treatment options to his patients including composite and porcelain veneers, crowns, full smile design, tooth whitening and teeth straightening treatments. Quite often attaining an aesthetically beautiful and natural smile will require a combination of the above techniques and modern aesthetic dentistry demands a grasp of less invasive tooth alignment and bonding techniques which has led Neal into developing these areas of his own practice. He is a provider of both Six Month Smiles and is also Invisalign accredited.Neal’s enthusiasm for high-end dentistry was rewarded by a high commendation at the prestigious 2012 Smile Awards. His ongoing commitment to learning the most advanced surgical techniques has encouraged him to study part-time for a Masters Degree in Dental Implantology. Being a user of multiple implant systems, notably Astra and Straumann he has become more active in partnership with these companies and has also enjoyed lecturing to local dentists new to the field on basic implant techniques.Neal is always committed to improving the quality and range of treatments that he can provide for his patients, and stay at the forefront of the latest techniques. Dr Mathew Sims graduated from Newcastle University Dental School in 2006, collecting the John Proctor Prize (awarded in recognition of outstanding operative skill) along the way. He has lived and worked in the local area for the last 8 years. Alongside providing treatment for his patients, Dr Sims has undertaken many hours of post-graduate dental education in the field of Cosmetic Dentistry, under the tutelage of some of the country’s leading cosmetic dentists.Two year-long ‘hands on’ Cosmetic Dentistry courses with internationally-renowned Dr Paul Tipton (for which he received a Special Commendation award in recognition of his clinical skill) and Dr Chris Orr have enabled Dr Sims to hone his clinical technique and theoretical understanding of smile design and smile reconstruction using the very best materials.As well as enjoying the restorative aspect of cosmetic dentistry, Dr Sims is also experienced in providing a variety of ‘Cosmetic Short Term Orthodontic’ systems including Six Month Smiles and Inman Aligners, which can be used to help people achieve straight white teeth without the need for restorations. Dr Sims continues to invest much of his time broadening his knowledge in both the restorative and orthodontic aspects of Cosmetic Dentistry, and will soon be adding Invisalign treatments to his armamentarium.Dr Sims is a member of the British Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry, an organisation for British dentists who are dedicated to the provision of excellent cosmetic and aesthetic dentistry.In his spare time Dr Sims enjoys playing golf and squash, and snowboarding when the opportunity arises.

Dr Gemmell qualified from Newcastle University in 2007. In 2009, he was awarded the diploma of Membership of the Faculty of Dental Surgery at the Royal College of Surgeons in Edinburgh.In 2012, he was awarded the Diploma in Restorative Dentistry from the Royal College of Surgeons in London and in 2013 the Membership in Primary Care Dentistry.Dr Gemmell limits his practice at Endodontics and has a wealth of experience in managing complex root canal treatments. In addition to working at Eldon Square, Andrew works at a regional dental referral centre performing endodontic treatment and also teaches endodontology at undergraduate and post graduate level.

Dr Matt Garnett is a specialist in Restorative Dentistry, Periodontology and Prosthodontics. He has a wealth of training, knowledge and experience in treating complex dental problems. He takes great pride and pleasure in his work and provides optimum dental care and treatment, in a relaxed environment.Dr. Matt Garnett graduated from Birmingham University in 1997 with Clinical Distinction and undertook his vocational dental training in the South-West of England. After 2 years in General Practice he realised that Restorative Dentistry was the area of specialism that he wanted to embark upon. He completed a year of Maxillofacial training at the Royal Cornwall Hospital and whilst working as a Senior House Officer, passed his diploma examinations and became a Member of the Royal College of Surgeons and Physicians of Glasgow. He went on to complete a Master’s Degree in Restorative Dentistry at Newcastle University and graduated with Honours in 2003. During these 2 years he undertook research in the field of ‘Resin-bonded bridgework’ provided for orthodontic patients, which was subsequently published in the British Dental Journal.In 2003, Matt started his comprehensive 5-year Specialist Training Programme at Newcastle Dental Hospital and passed his exit examinations in 2008. He was accepted on to the General Dental Council’s Specialist list in 2009 in the fields of Restorative Dentistry, Periodontics and Prosthodontics.Matt has been working as a Consultant at Newcastle Dental Hospital since 2009, with his duties involving a diagnostic and treatment service providing advanced restorative dental care for patients within the North East. He is a member of the Multi-Disciplinary Team which also provides specialist care for patients with Head and Neck Cancer, and is also a team member for the hospital Dental Implant Service. He has a further specialist interest in periodontal and mucogingival surgery and provides advanced training courses for general dental practitioners within the region.Matt maintains his links with Newcastle University and is an Associate and Clinical Lecturer and is heavily involved with the teaching of Undergraduate and Postgraduate Dental Students. He is a clinical trainer and lectures for?the Postgraduate Dental Implant Training course at Newcastle University and is involved with many additional Postgraduate training courses within the North East.Specialist interests for Matt are the multidisciplinary management of complex restorative problems, which include; Full-mouth rehabilitation, the management of aggressive and severe periodontitis and complex aesthetical and mucogingival problems. He has vast experience, with documented case reports for patients who have been successfully treated, with excellent functional and aesthetic long term outcomes.
