to Bellstane Dental Care. We are an independent dental practice providing both private and NHS dental treatment for you and your family. We aim to provide the highest standard of care and treatment in a relaxed, professional environment. We follow a policy of preventative dental care to keep your mouth healthy and prevent future dental problems. We offer dental advice to help you take care of your teeth and gums and recommend regular check-ups for all of our patients.

Care and treatment

We provide a comprehensive range of general dental care including fillings, crowns, bridges, veneers and gum treatments as well as cosmetic dentistry, tooth whitening and sports mouth guards. We work closely with specialists, such as orthodontic practices to provide orthodontic (brace) treatments and specialists to provide dental implants.

We are a ‘Child Smile’ practice. Child Smile is part of the government’s national drive to improve child dental health.

We’re here to make life easy…

Two of our treatment rooms are on the ground floor, with step free access for those less able or with buggies; one of these is readily accessible to wheelchairs, we also have a wheelchair accessible toilet. Please let us know if you wish to be seen downstairs.

A hearing induction loop is available to make sure that we can communicate effectively with everyone.

We try to arrange appointments at a convenient time. If you have made an appointment which you subsequently find you cannot keep, please give as much notice as possible so we can give the appointment to another patient. If you give us less than 24 hours’ notice a charge may be made, based on the length of the booked appointment time.

What treatment is best for me?

Our dentists and hygienists can provide both independent and NHS dental treatment. If you are treated privately, we will have more time to be able to take a more preventative approach to your dental care. We will be spending more time working towards getting and keeping your teeth and gums healthy, rather than simply looking for problems that need to be solved and we will have more time to discuss the findings. We will be able to use a more extensive range of better quality materials and possibly use different treatments and techniques that are not available on the NHS. This means that you should need less treatment in the future.

Why should I visit the Hygienist?

Our Hygienist will give you an Gum Health Assessment and remove plaque that you can’t remove yourself on a daily basis.

She will also give you advice on the control of plaque and looking after your gums to help you to develop the skills to remove and control the plaque yourself and achieve a high standard of gum health.

Cosmetic Dentistry

All the dentists at Bellstane will be happy to discuss cosmetic dentistry with you, albeit simple tooth whitening through to more advanced procedures. Don’t be afraid to ask!

Sports Mouthguards

We strongly advise that all children and adults wear sports mouthguards during contact sports. A custom made mouthguard provides a more secure fit and consequently better protection. If you would like a mouthguard let us know.
