Hopkinson Dental is a private practice in the heart of the thriving market town of Wetherby offering excellence in dentistry for adults and children alike.
Our whole approach to dentistry is different to what you may be used to – our philosophy is to treat people and not just teeth. Within the practice we have areas of expertise to cover dentistry as simple as a single filling to complex treatment, including co-ordination with other specialists when required.

Dr Laura HopkinsonPrincipal Dentist She took over the practice from her father Nick in 2008 having worked here since 2004. She qualified from Newcastle University in 2000 being one of only a handful to be awarded Honours - the highest possible grade. Laura was then selected for higher postgraduate training at Newcastle Dental Hospital leading to her achieving membership of the Royal College of Surgeons in 2003, thus joining a highly distinguished group of the profession.

Dr Jaime HobmanAssociate Dentist She was chosen to join our team in 2013. She graduated with Laura from Newcastle in the same small handful of dentists to receive a qualification with honours. This led to her being selected for higher training at the Leeds Dental Institute before commencing private practice in Leeds. Her commitment to continuing education resulted in Jaime commencing studies for the Certificate in Clinical Education from the University of Leeds and in recognition of this, and her clinical skills, she has been appointed as a trainer and mentor of newly qualified dentists.

Dr Michael RileyOrthodontist Husband Michael undertook his undergraduate training at Newcastle Dental School qualifying in 2001. On qualifying he underwent further training in Maxillofacial Surgery and Paediatric Dentistry. His postgraduate orthodontic training was at the University Dental Hospital of Manchester where he achieved his specialist qualifications including an MPhil in 2007.
