She qualified at the University of Liverpool Medical School in 1983. She has worked as an NHS consultant specialising in pain and symptom control. She has also trained in Toronto on the Aptos Threadlift technique under Dr. Gustavo Leibaschoff. She has attended a further two courses on the threadlift technique in the U.K.
