Ombersley Family Dental Practice

I qualified from Edinburgh University Dental School in 1982. After completing a house officer position at Birmingham Dental School, I spent a year as the resident Senior House Officer in Oral Surgery at Worcester Royal Infirmary. Over the next 12 years I worked in dental practices at Catshill and Cadburys and also as a part time oral surgery clinical assistant at Worcester royal Infirmary. In 1996 I set up Ombersley Family Dental Practice. 

After a career developing computer system, initially for Worcester Royal Porcelain then with software development companies, I set up my own consultancy. I pursued this for a number of years providing quality assurance management for a number of computer software companies, until it became obvious that Andy needed someone to handle the growing administrative effort required in running the Practice. It was pleasing to see how the disciplines that were used in satisfying business needs could be transferred into a dental environment. 

I started dental nursing in 1998 working at Ombersley Family Dental Practice. I qualified as a dental nurse in 2000. Since then I have qualified in dental radiography and in 2010 gained my Oral Health Educators Qualification I had a break from dental nursing in 2010 to have a baby so most of my spare time is spent looking after my daughter and my husband. I am still working at the practice but on a part time basis.
